Summer!
Okay so I am pretty bad at this whole updating thing. But here I am! Matt is back to work and it looks like it will be for a long while! I am having a hard time of finding one one that's okay. We are so excited for summer and all the wonderful things it will bring. We are so looking forward to BBQ's and swimming. And Matt is only working four 10 hour days so gets Friday-Sunday off! Woo-hoo for beach trips!
We are just so blessed with everything and enjoying our lives! We are expecting a another niece/nephew later this year and are so happy about it. Hope it's a girl. My sister Samantha, just finished middle school and is doing well. The younger boys are all in Boy Scouts and love it!
Matt has less than a year left of school and I am hoping to start again this summer or fall. So that's pretty much it! hope we get to see you all this summer!

Come all ye faithful....
CHRISTMAS!!! I love Christmas! Love the planning, the cards, the shopping and of course the presents and fellowshipping with all our family and friends. There is just something about celebrating the birth of our Savior. The joy it fills you with. The thankfulness that everyone seems to have around that time.
A lot to be excited for! Finally got to the doctors, and we are starting all the tests to find out whats wrong with me. We did find out that I have a vitamin D deficiency, which, God willing, that is all. But I still have a ton of blood test left to do. Matt is back at work and although we had thought he was going to be laid off this week we just found out (possibly!) that he may stay for a couple more months with the same company but different job. Please pray for us in that area.
We celebrated our first anniversary of marriage and the our third of being together overall. I only make Matt remember the wedding one. lol So crazy to think that we have been married for one year now! We have so many plans and dreams ahead of us and right now we are enjoying each other and all the thing you learn in the first few years of marriage. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the last year and offered all the great advice and just plain being there when we need someone. You guys are awesome and you know who you are!!
Matt's 24th birthday is coming and I don't think a surprise party is going to work this year. He may be prepared for it. In fact, I think he thinks that I'm planning one, but I'm not. Just a family and friend party this year! I can't believe we have been together for over 3 years now! It's seems so fast, yet so slow. We have grown so much together!
Matt only has one year left of school and he is done with his apprenticeship! He is so excited because his pay raise keeps going up and he gets to do so much more. Lately he has been working in Astoria as most of you know. Carpooling with some co-workers and sharing the driving is a lot better but still hard on all of them. It's only 8 hour days but he's gone for 12 because of all the driving. I will be so happy when he gets to switch jobs. He will be home more!
We had a scare with our nephew, Noah. We had thought that he may have been really sick but God is faithful and it all proved to be nothing. My sister, Samantha, who is now 13, made her basketball team! We are so excited to start watching her games! Penelope the hellion we all know and love. Those who have met her (and as Aimee has learned) she loves to attack people. This morning she bit my knee for no reason then decided to cuddle next to me. The perfect kitty! :)
Halloween passed with no big fanfare. Was invited to an awesome party but we weren't feeling good, so we decided just to pass out candy...mostly to us since we didn't get a single trick or treater. Not one! We have so much extra candy....Matt is enjoying eating them at lunch.
We are getting ready to move into a bigger apartment in the same apartments. Just into a two bedroom two bath, which will be so nice for space! But now it means that I have to pack the entire house and move it all and unpack...Hopefully all before the end of November! Crazy!
Anyway, that's our life as of now. Will update when we get more news for you lovely people!

Catching you all up on random stuff!
So, Matt and I have faced unemployment for the last three months. Hard, challenging and differently stressful, also a trail that we were not prepared for. But we are on the last leg now, (hopefully!) Matt got a call today, from his union hall wanting him for a job on Monday...however, we were not home and they needed someone right then! But we called back and found out that he is first on the list for the next job! Yay! They told him he should have a job by next week! We are so happy and thankful!
Honestly, I'm glad we went through this. I rather go thru it now and find out what to expect and prepare for the future, so when we start to expand our family, we can try to be as prepared as we can possibly be. I'm so grateful to all our friends and family for standing by us and praying for us, thank you! You guys are so awesome! Honestly, I don't know what I would do with out some of you to lean on! I hope I can return the favor to you guys someday.
As for the job market with me...no luck. I've been applying and will keep will, obviously but I have been playing phone tag with a lady at My Father's House, a family shelter. They need volunteers and I think it will rewarding in so many ways. Plus gives me something to do so I don't go crazy!
I made a new goal. I would like to lose 30 pounds by the new year. I've never been so motivated and honestly I've pushed myself so much in this that I don't even need Matt encouraging me. I go to the gym by myself without him telling me too! Yay for me! I feel so good and just better. I look forward to seeing the results of the goal. And I'm excited to make plans for the future goals. Baby steps people, baby steps!
I got a new haircut, and I love it! A short bob, so cute! Softball season has started and Matt is one of the coaches along with a friend of ours. I enjoying watching him play and rooting for his team! Let me know if anyone would like to go to one of the games.
Most of you know that we got a new phone number since cell phones have now become a luxury, lol. And that we got a kitty cat, her name is Penelope and she is one feisty little cat! She loves to cuddle and enjoys eating!

Well, thank you for reading and keeping up on us, this is my first blog (although it is so easy!) and I will post again when we know more about this whole job thing!
All our love,
Matt and Tiffany
